Holiday Window Contest A Success!
The winners of the First Annual Holiday Window Contest are
announced.
East Boston, MA, 14-Dec-2006
— The East Boston Chamber of Commerce and East Boston
Main Streets would like to congratulate the top three winners of the
First Annual Holiday Window Contest. Twenty-four local businesses
participated in decorating their windows to brighten up East Boston
for the holidays. Local artist and judge, Laura Rollins, viewed each
of the storefronts for attractiveness and composition, holiday spirit,
and creativity. After earnest deliberation, Laura chose the top-three
contest winners.
First Place winner, Danilchuk Auto Body, decorated the perimeter of their
lot with festive lights and patriotic symbols for the holiday season.
The front office window was made into a brick chimney with Santa
coming down it. The sill appears as the fireplace mantle with hanging stockings and
greenery candles on top. A very creative, and an extremely original use
of space.
