Local Volunteer & Business Of The Year Awards Celebrated!
On Wednesday May 30, 2007, Mayor Menino and Boston Main Streets recognized the East Boston Main Streets Volunteer and Business of the Year Awards.

East Boston, MA, 30-May-2007 — The Mayor Menino and Boston main Streets presented awards to the volunteer and business of the year. This year’s recipient for Volunteer of the year went to Michael Moscone. Michael is a loan officer with East Boston Savings Bank and an active board member of East Boston Main streets. Michael is promotion Chair and has been a vital part of the success of The Taste of Eastie, Networking breakfasts and the annual Countdown to Kindergarten.

The Business of the Year was presented to Jose and Rosa Rodriguez; owners of Rossy Jewelry in Maverick Square. Jose and Rosa along with their 2 sons have participated in many community events. Rossy Jewelry accepts the Boston Community Change Card and is a great example of successful businesses that thrive in the vibrant Main Street commercial district.
