East Boston Kids Say "No" To Trash
Students from the Donald McKay and Samuel Adams schools have
participated enthusiastically in this year's Clean Streets Art and
Essay contest.
East Boston, MA, 4-Jun-2007
— The East Boston Clean Streets Initiative (CSI)
has organized this contest to raise students’ awareness of their
environment. This year's submissions yielded imaginative artwork and
thoughtful essays suggesting ways to fight trash and improve the
quality of everyday life. Committee members were impressed by the
quality of the students work and would like to thank them and their
teachers for their participation and support. Winners have been chosen
and will receive awards at their schools’ end of the year ceremonies.
The committee would also like to thank Counselor Sal Lamattina for his
support.
The East Boston Clean Streets
Initiative is a collaboration of the Jeffries Point Neighborhood
Association, East Boston Main Streets and the East Boston Chamber of
Commerce. The committee’s goal is to work with residents, business
owners and city officials to make our streets cleaner and safer for
all. For more information or if you would like to join this effort
please contact Clark Moulaison at 617.561.1044 or email at
