East Boston Main Streets Announces Business And Volunteer Of The Year Awards
On Tuesday April 29, 2008 Mayor Tom Menino and Boston Main Streets hosted the 2007 Business and Volunteer of the year awards at the YMCA at Huntington Ave.

East Boston, MA, 10-May-2008 — On April 29, 2008, Mayor Menino presented Boston Main Street awards to local businesses and volunteers who have made extraordinary efforts to improve their community.

This years East Boston Business of the Year was First Class Salon located at 121 Maverick Street. Claudia and Francisco Lopez have given many hours and resources to improve East Boston and have restored the façade of their business.

The East Boston Volunteer of the Year was Paul Koch. Paul and his wife Michele are brand new parents and live in East Boston. Over the past 7 years Paul has chaired the East Boston Main Streets design committee and has volunteered many hours.
